There are eight ways you can make a significant contribution to the Happy Trails Children’s Foundation One of the easiest ways is by making a gift by cash, check or credit card. By using your credit card, you may gain valuable points or airline miles. Regular monthly, quarterly or semi-annual gifts are sincerely appreciated. A major gift funded over a three to five year installment or pledge payment period. This allows larger pledges and tax deductions for each year of giving. A donation of appreciated stocks, bonds or securities. The capital gains tax can be eliminated with this type of gift. Real estate that has been owned by the donor for a year or more which has appreciated in value can receive the same tax advantages as securities when donated.
